His designs were created to work with the client’s body, encasing it lightly and giving it a more artful structure. Beene's reinterpretations of dress formality, use of synthetics, and unusual combination of materials (accessories in acrylic and diamonds, for example), set him aside from his contemporaries who focused on the business of fashion, rather than the artistry of fashion.

The Schedoni - Ferrari relatioship began in the 1977 when Mauro Schedoni was asked by his Brother - in - law, Franco Folli, to create a luggage set that would suit his Ferrari. Ferrari, knowing there was a demand among his clients for luggage that would fit properly in his sports cars, partnered with Schedoni to create luggage exclusively for Ferrari automobiles.

Vintage Norman Hartnell Gold Lame and Mink Evening Dress and Matching Coat Stunning Norman Hartnell gold lame evening dress and matching coat. The shimmering A-line dress features a low scoop neck, a geometric stitched bodice, a low back, and a pleated slit at the center back of the skirt. The coat is knee length and features mink cuffs.
Hartnell began his career in the 1920s, using his University of Cambridge ties to acquire elite clients and dressing them for high prestige social events. His designs later caught the eye of entertainers such as Merle Oberon, Tallulah Bankhead, Evelyn Laye, Gertrude Lawrence, and Mistinguett. Hartnell's pieces continued to turn heads in the 1930s and 1940s, to design the 1930s and 1940s, and had even been appointed dressmaker to the royal family in 1938, designing the wedding dresses of Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret, the amazing coronation gown for Elizabeth II in 1953, as well as a gown for her first visit to the United States in 1956. Norman Hartnell defined a look that was the epitome of British aristocratic elegance; his work was lavish, restrained, and always flawless.

The sumptuous fur, wool, and feminine design reminds us of the ensembles of character Lara Guishar in Dr. Zhivago.
George M. Simonton Is an alumnus of FIT, and got his start when his designs attracted the eye of Happy Rockefeller, who judged his work at the the New York State Pavilion Contest at The World’s fair. He went on to work with Dan Millstein, Calvin Klein, and at C’est Simone. Millstein has lectured at FIT and The Smithsonian Institute, and starred in “I’ve Got Nothing To Wear,” a program where he advised stylists who work with fashion victims in need of help. Simonton is currently working on collections for Saks Fifth Ave, Nordstrom and Lord & Taylor.
