Spectacular shift dress by Norman Norell! The drama of this dress makes one feel as though it is a coat, with its large cuffed sleeves and large collar. The fabric is black silk with a nice hand. It also has a belt to cinch in the waist. It is a classy dress and a show stopper, whether it be day or night!

Norman Norell was born in 1900 and began his career working with Hattie Carniegie in 1928. It wasn't until 1960 that Norell's name became the the sole name of the clothing label! He is known for using fine fabrics and expert tailoring.
