Spectacular shift dress by Norman Norell! The drama of this dress makes one feel as though it is a coat, with its large cuffed sleeves and large collar. The fabric is black silk with a nice hand. It also has a belt to cinch in the waist. It is a classy dress and a show stopper, whether it be day or night!
Norman Norell was born in 1900 and began his career working with Hattie Carniegie in 1928. It wasn't until 1960 that Norell's name became the the sole name of the clothing label! He is known for using fine fabrics and expert tailoring.

This 1970s mod (with a nod to art nouveau revival) dress by Lanvin is absolutely gorgeous! The dress features long, full cuffed sleeves, an exaggerated pointed wing collar, and includes a wide sash belt. The shirtwaist dress buttons from hem to collar. The amazing floral print begins as a woven geometric design that blooms upwards into flowers. The print's vibrant azure blue, apple green, and bold Hollywood pink lie vividly against a white background. Fantastic!
