1960s Norman Hartnell for Neiman Marcus Black Wool Beaded Dress

Norman Hartnell / La Petit Salon Norman Hartnell

Description

Couturier to the English Royal family, the great Norman Hartnell designed this dress exclusively for Neiman Marcus, making it one of the first dresses to be made exclusively for the store by a British Couturier. This perfectly designed black wool dress has deep bust darts. Black bugle beads and small round beads are used to create a simple design line adding interest and classic appeal to this dress. The elbow length sleeves are trimmed with the same beading which match up with the waist line beads of the dress. A bow at the front between the beading adds charm. Zips at center back.

Size 16 tag -- approximately a modern size 10-12.

Hem can be lengthened 2 1/4 inches
