This is a great piece! We think it must come from the episode where Gilligan's Marrianne forgot she wasn't Ginger -- little sexy with a little innocence added to the design. Custom made 1970's halter dress with red and white gingham print skirt. Black velvet empire waistband. The bottom of the skirt has scalloped edging with black embroidery. Also at the bottom, are machine-cut flowers with black embroidered edging. The back of the halter has a strap that runs down center back and hooks on to the rest of the top via hook and eye closures. Lined. There is a zipper and hook and eye closure at center back.

This 1970s mod (with a nod to art nouveau revival) dress by Lanvin is absolutely gorgeous! The dress features long, full cuffed sleeves, an exaggerated pointed wing collar, and includes a wide sash belt. The shirtwaist dress buttons from hem to collar. The amazing floral print begins as a woven geometric design that blooms upwards into flowers. The print's vibrant azure blue, apple green, and bold Hollywood pink lie vividly against a white background. Fantastic!
