This Vintage Oscar de la Renta sable coat for Montaldo's is absolutely elegant. The coat features an exaggerated peter pan collar and front placket. Long sleeves. Large pocket flaps. Knee length. The fur is a gorgeous mix of mottled browns, reds, and dark creams, adding a bit of whimsy to an otherwise classic coat. Style suggests the 60s view of childhood styles with the large collar, placket and pocket flaps.

Arnold Liebes was a furrier with trading posts in Alaska. In the early 20th century he made frequent trips to his outposts, documenting what he saw on his trips with a camera and his diary. His collection of photographs, manuscripts, and over 1000 anthropologically relevant items are available at the California Academy of Sciences.

1940s Martha Weathered Black Persian Lamb Suit with Sable Trim

Martha Weathered imported fabrics and owned a boutique in Chicago. This is one of her suits she had designed and made of beautiful black Persian lamb with large sable trim. The jacket has three quarter length sleeves and gorgeous large black sable trim collar and hem. Persian Lamb wrap skirt closes at side with large black buttons. *Geraldine is embroidered in the jacket but can be covered with a pocket at your local furrier or tailor.
