Take a look at this wonderful wool skirt suit from Adolfo. Purple and black plaid knit fabric make this piece. It features a slightly tailored jacket with broad shoulders and an interesting collar. A herringbone knit piping and trim that runs the length from the collar to hem and under the arms. Gold buttons decorate the jacket pockets, skirt and jacket closure. The two pieces can be worn separately or together adding versatility to your closet. Adolfo was a Cuban born American fashion designer who started as a milliner in the 1950's. He was an apprentice at the House of Chanel and the House of Balenciaga until his friend Bill Blass gave him a loan and he opened his Millinery house in 1963. He went on to design couture garments in the 1970's and 1980's.
