Striking wide soft-cuff style Coppola e Toppo bracelet! The bracelet is composed of three distinct strings of beads in cobalt blue and sky blue, set between seed pearls. The strings of beads are held together by golden threads crocheted and braided together. The highlight of the bracelet is the clasp. The clasp has a bronze base with spiraled edges and a beaded center. Fabulous.
Coppola e Toppo was founded in the late 1940s by Milanese siblings Bruno Coppola and Lydia Toppo, but it wasn’t until 1960s, when Dior commissioned runway pieces from them, that the brand took off. Between the 1950s and through until the 1980s, Coppola e Toppo collaborated with many other fashion houses and designers, including Balenciaga, Valentino, Emilio Pucci, and Elsa Schiaparelli. Their work is distinctly elegant, elaborate, and bold, masterfully mixing glass beads with Swarovski crystals and lucite.
