Description

Fantastic black wool cape dress by John Moore! This dress sits just above the knee, has a jewel neckline, and short sleeves. The loose shift silhouette of the dress is interrupted by a fine and precise pleat on the hip. The dress has a fabulous cape that drapes from the left shoulder over to the right arm. A classic!

John Moore was a graduate of Parson’s School of Design. He worked for Norman Norell of Traina - Norell, Elizabeth Arden, and Talmack. John Moore won a Cody Award for his work at Talmack and also designed Lady Bird Johnson’s gown for Lyndon B. Johnson’s 1964 inaugural ball.
