Fabulous red and white polkadot skirt by Hubert de Givenchy! The skirt primarily features polkadots, with small hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs in rows, breaking up the dots. The skirt features five small red buttons running down the front, as well as a short vent in front and hidden side pockets.Givenchy is known best for his elegant and innovative haute couture. He began his career working under Elsa Schiaparelli, Jacques Fath, Robert Piguet, and Lucien Lelong. As a young man, he worked alongside Pierre Balmain and Christian Dior who were also making their mark on Parisian fashion.
Givenchy designed Audrey Hepburn’s iconic “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” dress, popularizing the modern “little black dress”. He also designed much of Hepburn’s personal wardrobe. Givenchy was always reinventing himself and with that, revolutionizing the state of fashion. He is credited for creating the “baby doll” dress and “balloon coat,” two designs emblematic of the 1960s.

Dramatic two piece skirt and top ensemble by Carol Antell! The ensemble includes a fabulous fuchsia pink silk overlayed with black horse hair and black lace making up a stripped pattern. The circle skirt is structured with horsehair, can stand upright on it's own, and bounces wonderfully when worn. The black velvet bustier top features a sweetheart neckline with halter support, and has boning. The set is sensational. Zipper closures.

Beautifully tailored hazelnut gabardine skirt suit with white mink cuffs on three quarter length sleeves from Neiman Marcus. Design details in this suit are reminiscent of the 1940's style with its delineated geometric design inserts. Three fabric covered buttons fit through Spanish button holes down the front of the jacket. Front side pockets are within the princess seam. The skirt hits several inches below the knee with no slit. Simple construction with waist band, darts and side zipper. Fits a modern size 4. Jacket is fully lined. Jacket has two functional side pockets along the princess seams.
